Job summary

The Atlas Group in the United States seeks an experienced CNC Programmer to lead aerospace programming initiatives. You will design and optimize NC programs for 3–5 axis milling, verify designs with software, and collaborate with manufacturing planners to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities include creating efficient templates, maintaining master files, troubleshooting production issues, and advancing cost-effective cutting tool usage while integrating lean manufacturing practices.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in G-code.
• Must be able to read customer provided drawings.
• Ability to communicate professionally both in written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Lead CNC programming group for the entire CNC programming team.
• Provide efficient programming templates for fellow programmers on critical projects.
• Design and create NC programs for extrusion, hogout, forging, casting, and tooling products.
• Design and create NC programs for 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis milling customer products.
• Validate NC programs prior to production use using verification software.
• Troubleshoot CNC programming and production related issues.
• Maintain master files of programming and optimize feeds and spindle speeds.
• Integrate improved cutting tool technology and lean manufacturing practices.
