Job summary

Professional Search Group - OC seeks a skilled CNC Mill/Lathe Programmer to develop, test, and optimize programs for milling and turning on precision metal components. You will work with 5-axis CNC machines, perform tooling setup, and ensure quality through GD&T and advanced measurement practices.

Responsibilities include creating programs with CAM software, interpreting blueprints, setting up tooling and fixtures, and collaborating to improve lean manufacturing processes while maintaining

Qualifications

• Experience programming CNC mills and lathes with Fanuc controls or similar systems.
• Proficiency with CAD software for creating/modifying drawings and models (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA).
• Strong blueprint reading, GD&T, and mechanical interpretation skills.
• Knowledge of CAM software for CNC programming in metal machining.
• Familiarity with EDM processes is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude with tooling setup, geometry calculations, and schematics interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and write CNC programs for milling and lathe operations using CAM software.
• Interpret drawings and GD&T to produce precise parts.
• Set up tooling, fixtures and machines including 5-axis CNCs.
• Troubleshoot geometry, tooling wear, and program logic for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate to apply lean manufacturing to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Maintain documentation of programs, setups and measurement results for traceability.
