Job summary

You will manage tool paths, offsets, and inspection with precision gauges, contributing to design feedback and manufacturability improvements. Evening/weekend shifts may occur based on project needs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years CNC machining in precision work.
• Set up complex jobs independently, start to finish.
• Read complex blueprints and apply GD&T.
• Hold tight tolerances on complex geometries.
• Read and write G/M-code at the control.
• Inspect parts with micrometers, indicators, and gauges.
• Solid feeds, speeds, and tool wear fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run large-format CNC mills and lathes.
• Prove-Out: take prototype parts from first article through final run.
• Apply GD&T to complex blueprints, routings, and engineering models.
• Build fixturing strategies around tool clearance and collision avoidance.
• Program edits: adjust feeds, speeds, offsets, and tool comp at the control.
• Inspect with micrometers, indicators, and precision gauges to verify tolerances.
• Design feedback to improve manufacturability of parts.
• Record quantities and process adjustments in the ERP system.
