Job summary

Coupa Software, Inc. seeks a Lead Cloud Platform Engineer to oversee a highly scaled cloud environment and champion automation.

You will guide architecture, automate workload sizing with Karpenter, and drive cost-awareness through FinOps practices. You will partner with Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, FinOps, and Finance to ensure high availability, observability, security, and scalable growth across clusters, pipelines, and IaC.

Qualifications

• Enterprise-scale Kubernetes experience.
• Experience with intelligent resource automation platforms and Karpenter.
• Knowledge of FinOps principles and cost avoidance.
• Proficiency in Terraform/OpenTofu and configuration management.
• AWS/GCP cloud and large compute footprint expertise.

Responsibilities

• Architect, manage, and scale enterprise Kubernetes infrastructure (EKS/GKE).
• Oversee automated platform optimization to reduce manual toil.
• Implement automated workload sizing and Karpenter config by default.
• Collaborate with Eng, DevOps, Platform Engineering, FinOps, and Finance.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD, IaC, and observability tools.
• Mentor engineers and lead architectural initiatives for resilience and security.
