Job summary

Coupa seeks a Lead Cloud Platform Engineer with a strong Kubernetes background to shape a scalable, automated cloud footprint. You will drive platform automation, implement CI/CD pipelines, and enforce observability across clusters in a large enterprise environment.

You will mentor engineers and collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, FinOps, and Finance to optimize performance, security, and cost, delivering highly available services for customers.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Kubernetes (EKS/GKE) at large scale.
• Hands-on with intelligent resource automation platforms like ScaleOps.
• Strong FinOps understanding and cost avoidance in cloud environments.
• Proficiency with Terraform/OpenTofu and IaC tooling.
• Deep AWS/GCP experience and containerization expertise.
• Excellent communication aligning tech work with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Architect, manage, and scale enterprise Kubernetes infrastructure (EKS/GKE).
• Oversee automated platform optimization, reducing manual toil.
• Implement automatic workload sizing and Karpenter configurations.
• Collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, FinOps, and Finance for cost discipline.
• Design and maintain CI/CD, IaC, and observability tooling.
• Mentor engineers and lead architectural initiatives for resilience.
