The Lead Cloud Platform Engineer will support the Enterprise Cloud Platform services used across Johnson & Johnson affiliates. Key responsibilities include collaborating with platform Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to improve service reliability, engaging with business partners to align services with their objectives, and partnering across IT teams to ensure platform continuity. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to impact service reliability and business alignment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Ownership of Cloud Platform Lifecycle: Lead all aspects, including strategy, prioritization, delivery, and performance management.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with Platform and Product Owners to develop a technical backlog delivering business value.
• Cross-Team Dependency Management: Coordinate with the Platform Architect and technology teams.
• Roadmap Refinement: Enhance the cloud platform roadmap considering business value, technical feasibility, cost, and timelines.
• Interaction Model Development: Establish communication standards among product groups.
• Alignment to Enterprise Architecture: Ensure platform compliance with architecture guidelines, including APIs, security, and data standards.
• Solution Selection: Drive platform solution evaluations and collaborate with Lead Engineers.
• Tool and Infrastructure Development: Build deployment and monitoring tools for production services.
• Optimization: Ensure solutions are user-friendly, reusable, and scalable.
• Technological Awareness: Stay informed on relevant technologies and trends.
• Project Coordination: Manage multiple projects effectively.
• Leverage Team Strengths: Utilize team skills for optimal outcomes.
• Security and Scalability Assessment: Design secure, scalable cloud topologies.
• Process Implementation: Develop processes for robust cloud environments.

Required Qualifications:

• B.S. in Computer Science or related Engineering field and at least 5 years of industry experience.
• Expertise in AWS or Azure; experience in the other preferred.
• Experience designing, implementing, supporting large-scale enterprise cloud platforms.
• Secure solutions design experience in regulated environments.
• Knowledge of network design and security in cloud settings.
• Strong programming skills, especially in Python.
• Expertise in AWS or Azure cloud services and management.
• Experience with Data services (Warehouses, Lakehouses) in AWS or Azure.
• Experience managing customer-facing services and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with Git and cloud infrastructure code management.
• Experience delivering software with Agile SDLC and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of additional cloud platforms (GCP, etc.).
• Cloud certifications highly preferred.
• Masters in Computer Science preferred.
• Experience in programming languages like Python, JavaScript, Groovy, Go, Rust, C++, etc.
• Designing resilient, fault-tolerant systems.
• Experience supervising complex distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket).

Compensation: The anticipated base pay range is $108,800 - $147,200.
