Your new role

As part of our global and dynamic team, you will play a key role in the delivery of analysis and analytic products through the development, and implementation of analytic support infrastructure including cloud resource management, software packaging and documentation, and data pipelines. This role will be instrumental in building, supporting, and deploying tools and infrastructure within our new FedRAMP environment hosted on AWS, serving our US Federal customers. This role involves updating and maintaining existing dashboards and data pipelines, transitioning from GCP to AWS within a FedRAMP environment.
Working closely with team members, including customer-facing data scientists, you will deliver great services and solutions to our customers which include all types of R&D organizations (government, funder, university, corporate, publisher).

What you’ll be doing
  • Build and deploy solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Implement continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Automate application development workflows and develop supporting tools.
  • Utilize infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform) for efficient infrastructure management.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and loading (ETL) within the FedRAMP environment.
  • Write efficient SQL queries targeting GBQ, Redshift, and PostgreSQL to manipulate and analyze data.
  • Develop and maintain analytic solutions using Python.

What you’ll bring to the role
  • Experience with US Federal IT security practices such as working with services in a FedRAMP Moderate environment.
  • Proficient in Python development.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms, e.g. AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) tools and practices.
  • Experience or interest in infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform.
  • Experience building, deploying and managing applications using containerization tools like Docker.
  • Experience developing tools to automate application deployment workflows.
  • Experience with Python packaging and developing libraries to facilitate data science work.
  • Familiarity with software application security best practices and tools.
  • Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries for RedShift, BigQuery, and PostgreSQL
  • Experience with consuming and building web services (APIs) for use by data scientists.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Approximately 5 years of relevant experience (or equivalent skills and knowledge).
  • Ability to obtain a US Public Trust security clearance.
  • AWS/GCP certifications a plus.
  • Ability to work in 100% remote environment.
