About The Team

Working in a small but highly capable team, this engineering position will support and improve multiple software and data platforms. These platforms vary in maturity and require different interventions, such as implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), updating architecture, and addressing performance issues. This role offers a challenging environment for skilled Cloud Engineers, requiring strong technical and interpersonal skills.

About the Role

This position involves conducting complex research, designing, and supporting platform development within a specific area or product line. Responsibilities include cloud platform design, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) activities, mentoring team members, and collaborating with stakeholders to develop effective solutions. The role emphasizes fostering innovation and excellence.

Requirements
  • Experience in Cloud Engineering, especially with Azure and/or AWS.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred: Azure Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
  • Knowledge of cloud services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Azure VMs, Azure Storage, Azure Functions).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM/BICEP).
  • Proficiency with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes/EKS).
  • Scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, TypeScript, PowerShell).
  • Understanding of networking and security best practices.
  • Familiarity with SRE practices and DevOps tools.
  • Experience with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., DataDog, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).
  • Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple topics simultaneously.
