Job summary

CVS Health Enterprise Technology is seeking a Lead Cloud Engineer for the Observability Platform to architect and scale telemetry pipelines across cloud providers.

You will mentor engineers, drive OpenTelemetry adoption, and collaborate with SRE, Platform, and Cloud teams to raise reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Software Engineering experience
• 5+ years building production-grade observability platforms
• 5+ years with cloud-native and containerized platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, Argo CD)
• 5+ years with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• 3+ years designing and scaling distributed data pipelines
• 3+ years with IaC tools (Terraform or CloudFormation)
• 3+ years with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate core observability platform services.
• Lead enterprise-wide adoption of OpenTelemetry and instrumentation patterns.
• Architect and scale high-throughput telemetry pipelines across clouds.
• Develop self-service observability capabilities for onboarding and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with SRE, Platform, and Cloud teams to set reliability standards.
