Job summary

CVS Health Enterprise Technology seeks a Senior Observability Platform Engineer to design, build and operate large-scale observability services. You will drive OpenTelemetry adoption, craft high‑performance pipelines using Go, Python, and Java, and collaborate with SRE, Cloud, and Platform teams to ensure secure, reliable observability at Fortune-6 scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Software Engineering with a focus on observability.
• 3+ years building production-grade backend services (Go/Java).
• 3+ years implementing OpenTelemetry and semantic conventions.
• 3+ years on cloud-native platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, Argo CD).
• 2+ years with IaC (Terraform or CloudFormation) and Kubernetes tooling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and operate large-scale observability services processing logs, metrics, and traces.
• Lead OpenTelemetry adoption across enterprise and standardize instrumentation.
• Design and scale high-throughput telemetry pipelines with focus on performance and cost.
• Provide senior technical leadership and cross-team collaboration.
• Automate workflows, improve CI/CD, and ensure secure telemetry pipelines.
