Publix Super Markets is hiring a Lead Cloud Engineer for the Data & AI team in Lakeland, FL. This role partners with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and scale AI solutions and frameworks, powering generative AI technologies with transformative business impact.

The position is hybrid, requiring residence or relocation within commutable distance to Lakeland. You will lead deployment, maintain AI infrastructure, and drive CI/CD improvements across Azure and GCP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related analytical field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in Public Cloud Services: PaaS, database services, network infrastructure, security, monitoring tools.
• 2+ years in Version Control Systems: Git, Azure DevOps.
• 1+ years of experience using AI CLI tools.
• 1+ years of experience in Production Support: troubleshooting production issues.
• 1+ years of experience in Scripting and Automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment and maintenance of AI infrastructure in Azure and GCP.
• Maintain Infrastructure as Code for AI and model workloads and compute resources.
• Lead strategy meetings to improve shared AI infrastructure and platform services.
• Own standards for deploying AI services, model workloads, and inference infrastructure in Azure and GCP.
• Lead automation initiatives to improve CI/CD pipelines for AI application teams.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for AI infrastructure, model deployments, and pipeline failures.
• Troubleshoot application and model workload deployment issues.
