Publix Super Markets, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Facilities and Real Estate team. This role focuses on modernizing complex real estate systems using a modern tech stack, requiring 5+ years of full-stack experience with .NET, React, and cloud tech.

The position is a flexible hybrid role (8 days per month in Lakeland, FL) offering onsite collaboration and remote work, with emphasis on high-impact delivery and continuous learning in a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other analytical disciplines, or equivalent experience
• 5 years full-stack web development with .NET Core/.NET Framework and C#, MVC, Web API, EF
• 3+ years React.js with TypeScript and Next.js
• 5+ years enterprise design using OO analysis, patterns, UML, SOA
• 5+ years SQL Server/Oracle/Teradata/DB2 and complex queries
• 5+ years translating business requirements to scalable tech solutions
• 3+ years Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines
• 3+ years Azure Databricks
• 3+ years Kubernetes/Docker
• 3+ years Kafka/event-driven architecture
• 3+ years data analysis with complex queries
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems
• Leadership in Agile environments
• Awareness of AI governance and safe automation practices
• Familiarity with LLM APIs or basic AI/ML concepts

Responsibilities

• Hands-on development in a cross-functional agile team
• Translate requirements into technical design and implement high-quality solutions
• Define scope, estimates, and risks for product owner/manager
• Collaborate with product owner to develop features with clear acceptance criteria
• Perform peer code reviews and technical knowledge transfers
• Lead team through problem determination in complex scenarios
• Ensure solutions meet security and compliance policies
• Participate in production support rotation
• Collaborate with UX/UI to translate wireframes into code
• Contribute to performance, scalability, and maintainability improvements
• Stay current with emerging technologies to guide architecture decisions
