Job summary

Publix Super Markets, Inc. is seeking a Lead Software Developer for the Vendor Funding Accounting team within Publix Technology's Finance Systems organization. The role partners with Accounting, Corporate Purchasing, Enterprise Architecture, SAP, and Data & AI to design, develop, and scale a next-gen vendor funding platform on a service-based architecture.

Location: Hybrid (Lakeland, FL). The candidate will reside within commutable distance and participate in onsite interviews at the Lakeland

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years with .NET Core and C#.
• 5+ years SQL, database design, ORM (Dapper/EF).
• 3+ years designing microservices, RESTful APIs and events.
• 2+ years as technical lead on enterprise apps.
• Experience with Git, DevOps, and Azure DevOps CI/CD.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum environments.
• On-call readiness and ability to troubleshoot distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and hands-on development of scalable, service-based solutions.
• Partner with Product Owners and cross-functional teams to deliver secure, enterprise-grade software.
• Provide technical leadership via code reviews, defect analysis, and mentoring engineers.
• Guide backlog refinement and align with architectural standards and long-term platform strategy.
• Leverage modern cloud and data technologies to support analytics and reporting.
