Netsmart seeks a Lead Software Architect to drive Cloud & AI Modernization for the myAvatar platform in Overland Park, KS. This role combines hands-on architecture with practical software delivery, partnering across Engineering, DevOps, Product, and Security to evolve legacy systems into scalable, cloud-native solutions.

You will guide architecture direction, design patterns, and production readiness while exploring AI-enabled workflows that enhance healthcare capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading architecture for enterprise-scale applications.
• Hands-on with modernization of legacy systems toward cloud-enabled architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture decisions for the myAvatar platform in alignment with modernization goals.
• Partner with engineering to design scalable, secure, and observable architectures.
• Provide hands-on guidance via reviews, prototypes, and reference architectures.
• Modernize legacy systems using modularization, API-first design, and cloud-native patterns.
• Collaborate with DevOps and cloud teams to improve deployment, reliability, and observability.
