Job summary

OU Health seeks an experienced Clinical Pharmacy Manager for the Adult Oncology inpatient department. You will lead day-to-day operations, oversee staff, manage inventory, and ensure safe, compliant pharmaceutical care within an academic health system.

The role emphasizes collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, regulatory readiness, and staff development to support high-quality patient care and operational performance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy with a PharmD or B.Ph. degree.
• At least three (3) years of progressive leadership experience.
• Active Pharmacist License in Oklahoma; preceptor certification within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Provides day-to-day operational management of inpatient pharmacy services in alignment with hospital goals.
• Oversees pharmacy operations to ensure high-quality, safe pharmaceutical care.
• Oversees pharmacy information systems including EHR, dispensing cabinets, sterile compounding, CS inventory, and smart pumps.
• Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to address patient care issues.
• Manages inventory and supply chain for inpatient pharmacy areas.
• Supervises staff including hiring, coaching, performance reviews, and corrective actions.
• Supports staff development through delegation, feedback, and evaluations.
• Monitors staffing levels and recommends adjustments based on workload and quality targets.
• Ensures staffing and scheduling support efficiency, safety, and compliance.
• Acts as a preceptor or mentor for new employees, students, and trainees.
• Maintains competency to perform duties of a staff pharmacist as needed.
• Ensures compliance with pharmacy laws, regs, accreditation standards, and policies.
