Job summary

Tennessee Oncology is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to lead the clinical pharmacy operations, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based pharmaceutical care across our cancer care network. You will oversee pharmacists and technicians, drive compliance with USP, CMS, and accrediting standards, and champion patient safety.

This leadership role emphasizes collaboration with physicians and other care teams, guiding clinical decision-making, quality improvement initiatives, staff education, and participation

Qualifications

• PharmD required.
• PGY-1 or PGY-2 residency strongly preferred.
• Active Tennessee pharmacy license required.
• Minimum 5 years of pharmacy experience, with at least 3 years in a clinical/health system setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee direct clinical pharmacy operations, including review, preparation, compounding, and dispensing with patient-centered outcomes.
• Serve as a clinical resource on drug therapy, indications, contraindications, pharmacokinetics, interactions and side effects.
• Lead development and implementation of clinical protocols and guidelines in alignment with standards.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accrediting body regulations (USP, CMS).
• Monitor pharmacy inventory for safe, cost-effective medication use and formulary adherence.
• Lead quality initiatives, medication-use evaluations, and performance improvement projects.
