Job summary

Adventist Health Potter Valley is seeking a Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist for day shifts. The role leads laboratory personnel, manages testing operations, and ensures alignment with accreditation and safety standards in a community hospital setting.

The position requires a CLS-eligible background with relevant leadership experience and a focus on quality, safety, and staff development to uphold high diagnostic accuracy for patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, biological or chemical sciences or allied health technologies is required.
• Five years' clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• Two years' leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical consultant and supervisor of laboratory personnel.
• Manage laboratory testing performance and QA/QC programs.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards (CLIA, CAP, JC, OSHA).
• Coordinate maintenance, calibration and instrument performance.
• Oversee staffing and professional development of the lab team.
