Job summary

Adventist Health is seeking a Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist for the Day Shift in California. The role supervises laboratory personnel, manages testing operations and ensures compliance with CLIA, CAP and OSHA standards.

A CA CLS license is required, ASCP/NCA preferred, with 5 years' lab experience and 2 years of leadership experience. Relocation and hiring incentives apply; day-to-day work focuses on mentoring staff, QC oversight, and coordination of POCT across the lab while maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, biological sciences, chemical sciences or allied health technologies or equivalent: Required
• Five years' clinical laboratory experience: Preferred
• Two years' leadership experience: Preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversees all laboratory testing and coordinates all point of care testing (POCT).
• Reviews and evaluates test results for validity and accuracy. Acts as CLS when needed.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and accreditation readiness (CLIA, CAP, JC, OSHA).
• Manages staffing, training and performance of laboratory personnel.
