Job summary

Upperline Health Inc in Madison, AL is seeking a Lead Patient Care Coordinator to manage front desk operations and lead the clinic team.

You will coordinate care across physicians, care navigators, and support staff, enroll patients in Upperline Plus, oversee scheduling and enrollment, and ensure a high-quality patient experience.

The role requires strong communication, podiatry/orthopedic clinic exposure, EMR experience (athenahealth preferred), and the ability to recruit and mentor staff.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Patient Care Coordinator.
• Podiatry or Orthopedic clinic experience preferred.
• Excellent computer skills and strong knowledge of medical terminology.
• Previous experience working in an EMR – preferably athenahealth EMR.
• Must be an effective communicator with excellent grammar and interpersonal skills.
• Empathetic, compassionate, and professional demeanor with each interaction.
• Demonstrated experience as a motivated and dedicated team leader with a stable work history.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to pass a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily clinic operations and staffing.
• Oversee patient enrollment and engagement with Upperline Plus.
• Recruit and onboard non-provider clinical staff and manage performance.
• Monitor clinic KPIs and ensure operational/financial targets are met.
• Facilitate daily clinic huddles and manage scheduling cadence.
• Travel to surrounding clinics to provide support as needed.
• Ensure a high-quality patient experience and maintain clinic culture.
