As Lead Client Service Specialist, you’ll mentor frontline staff, oversee registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and data integrity across community sites, and drive improvements with the Director of Community Operations and cross-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CPR and BLS certification required.
• Certified Application Counselor status through the Maryland Health Connection is required.
• Associate’s degree preferred; relevant work experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Sets expectations and leads team through supervision, coaching, and regular meetings.
• Performs CSS duties: registration, scheduling, insurance verification, referrals, records, enrollment, and customer service.
• Oversees day-to-day operations across community sites for efficient clinic flow.
• Monitors performance, productivity, morale, and KPIs; supports quality improvement initiatives.
• Onboards and mentors CSS staff to ensure consistent practices and standards.
• Escalates complex client/staff concerns and assists with resolution.
• Collaborates with the Director of Community Operations and teams to improve workflows.
• Conducts monthly audits of admin functions and data integrity.
• Maintains data in the EHR and generates reports to support decisions.
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA, ADA, OSHA, TJC, NCQA, and other standards.
