Job summary

Health Care for the Homeless seeks a Client Service Specialist to support a multidisciplinary ambulatory team in Baltimore. You will assist with registration, scheduling, referrals, and records while ensuring compassionate, dignified care for clients.

In this role you will coordinate across clinical and administrative teams, verify insurance, and maintain high accuracy in documents. Strong customer service and de-escalation skills are essential, with a focus on health equity and community

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• CAC certification is a plus.
• Experience in health care or FQHC settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Performs CSR duties: registration, scheduling, insurance verification, referrals, and medical records.
• Process referrals and follow up on outstanding issues with clients and providers.
• Manage medical records workflow and ensure accuracy in release of information.
• Collaborate with Practice Manager to document actions and improve client satisfaction.
• Provide culturally-competent, client-centered customer service and resolve questions/concerns.
