Job summary

Health Care for the Homeless is seeking a Client Service Specialist in Baltimore to support medical, behavioral health, and dental teams. The role includes registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and referrals, with a focus on delivering culturally competent, client-centered service.

You will coordinate across departments, assist with data for clinic flow and expenditures, and help ensure timely resolution of client questions while upholding HIPAA requirements and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; higher education preferred.
• Coursework in health administration or related field is desirable.
• CAC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and schedule appointments; verify insurance and referrals.
• Process referrals, obtain authorizations, and track status.
• Maintain medical records workflow and ensure accuracy in disclosures.
• Collaborate with Practice Manager to monitor customer service actions and patient satisfaction.
• Respond to questions or complaints and connect clients with needed services.
• Support data collection for clinic flow, expenditures, and service delivery.
