Job summary

Maryland Transportation Authority seeks a Lead Classification & Compensation Analyst to lead the Classification & Compensation Unit (CCU). The role interprets TSHRS rules and supervises HR staff performing classification and salary work.

Responsibilities include guiding analysts, reviewing policies, and conducting large-scale salary studies. The position is in Baltimore, MD, with possible hybrid telework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 4 years of professional HR work in job analysis, job evaluation, salary administration, recruitment and selection, employment services and benefits, employer-employee relations, HR program evaluation, or HR policy formulation.
• Two years of this experience must be in classification and compensation, including job analysis and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Assigns, monitors, and reviews the work of CCU Analysts in job analysis and applying job evaluation techniques.
• Provides daily guidance and training to new CCU Analysts.
• Reviews and analyzes policies related to classification and compensation and makes recommendations.
• Analyzes and evaluates agency requests for position reclassification using applicable standards and regulations.
• Performs large scale and complex salary studies and surveys.
