Job summary

The NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) seeks a Civil Engineer Level 3 to serve as Accountable Manager for the Wastewater Capital Program (WWCP). You will oversee design and construction of WWCP projects, including WRRFs and CSO programs, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget compliance across multiple sites.

Responsibilities include coordinating with BWT/BWS, managing staff, reviewing contract documents, and maintaining environmental health and safety throughout the project

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of full-time civil engineering experience and active NY PE license required.
• Master's degree in civil engineering may substitute for one year of experience.
• Experience leading complex public works projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, design and construction of WWCP projects across NYC WRRFs and CSO programs.
• Direct the Accountable Manager role for WWCP, ensuring scope, schedule and budget adherence.
• Coordinate with BWT/BWS and bureau support divisions to deliver capital projects safely and efficiently.
