Job summary

Ramboll, a global architecture, engineering, and consultancy firm, is seeking a Civil Engineer/Senior Civil Engineer for data centers. The role focuses on site feasibility, master planning, grading, drainage, utilities, and permitting across major industrial sites in the U.S.

You will join the Civil Engineering and Design team within the Environment & Health division, coordinating with multidisciplinary experts and leading technical work to deliver sustainable, compliant designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering with ~5+ years civil/site experience.
• PE license preferred, with ability to obtain licensure by comity in target states.
• Experience with land development and site civil design for large projects (industrial/logistics).
• Experience working with AHJs and leading multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering and land development services for data center and large industrial projects from site selection through construction.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, staffing, risk, client communication, proposals, and subconsultants across multiple projects.
• Direct technical work including site layout, grading, stormwater, utilities, and permitting.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, agencies, and authorities while navigating codes and standards.
• Review deliverables, mentor engineers and CAD staff, support team growth, and contribute to client development.
