Job summary

Ramboll is seeking a Civil Engineer / Senior Civil Engineer – Data Centers to join our Civil Engineering and Design team within the Environment & Health business. The role focuses on site feasibility, master planning, permitting, and design for data centers and large industrial sites in a hybrid U.S. office setup.

You will collaborate with diverse professionals to deliver technically robust solutions, lead design efforts, and support market expansion while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• PE license preferred, with ability to obtain licensure by comity in target states.
• 5+ years of civil/site engineering experience, preferably in data centers/industrial.
• Experience coordinating with AHJs and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering and land development for data centers and large industrial projects from site selection through construction.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, staffing, risk, and client communications across multiple projects.
• Direct technical work including site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, access, and permitting.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and agencies while navigating codes and standards.
• Review deliverables, mentor staff, and contribute to client development and market expansion.
