Job summary

STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES/VSL is seeking a Project Manager to support our Florida Heavy Civil team in Pompano Beach, with work across the Southeast. You will manage complex civil projects, lead field teams, and ensure safety and quality on challenging bridge and repair work.

Ideal candidates hold a Construction Management or Civil/Structural Engineering degree, 3–8 years of experience, and expertise in post-tensioning, CFRP, and structural strengthening. Travel 20–25% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
• 3–8 years of relevant civil construction industry experience.
• Experience managing projects from $1M to $10M in contract value.
• Hands-on experience with heavy civil or post-tensioned projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute self-performed complex civil and commercial construction projects.
• Develop and manage schedules with field leadership and clients.
• Maintain project profit & loss and financial reporting including budgets and forecasts.
• Oversee buyout of materials, equipment rental, drawings and subcontractor management.
• Provide leadership to project teams and mentor field staff.
• Collaborate with estimators and sales on bids and proposals.
• Travel 20–25% as needed; relocation may be necessary.
