Job summary

BKF Engineers seeks an experienced professional to serve as Owner’s representative on bridge and roadway projects. You will ensure compliance with contract documents and coordinate with inspectors, project team, and agency staff to meet civil construction goals.

The role requires a California-licensed P.E. with 7+ years of contract management experience on roadway/bridge projects, and the ability to manage staff and project budgets effectively. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering.
• California registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) required.
• 7+ years construction contract management experience related to roadway and/or bridge construction projects.
• Working knowledge of CALTRANS and local agency projects, as well as document coordination on federally funded projects desired.
• Able to effectively manage people.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Owner’s professional representative on bridge, roadway, and general civil related construction projects.
• Ensure projects are built in accordance with contract documents.
• Coordinate with inspectors and project team to meet civil construction goals.
• Manage project quality control and quality assurance.
• Oversee contract administration and staff performance.
• Prepare progress and final documentation per FHWA requirements.
