Job summary

The Growing Years is seeking Lead Preschool and Lead Pre-K Teachers in Clayton, NC. The role requires a high school diploma and the ability to pass background checks, plus an associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or 12 ECE credits. Prior childcare experience is a plus.

Shifts are Mon-Fri from 8:30am-5:30pm, 9:00am-6:00pm, or 8:45am-5:45pm. Compensation is $18-$20 per hour, depending on education and experience, with a generous benefits package and paid trainings.

To be QUALIFIED for the Lead Preschool and Pre-K Teacher opportunities, we require a high school diploma and the ability to pass all background checks. We also require an associate or a bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a relevant field or a completed associate or bachelor's degree with at least 12 credits of early childhood education or their equivalent. A plusif you have previous childcare experience!

Required Shift:Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm OR 9:00am - 6:00pm OR 8:45am-5:45pm

Our Hiring Process for Lead Two's Teachers:

Main Job Responsibilities for Lead Pre-K Teachers:

• Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carryout lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; Useour parent communication appefficiently.
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; andmaintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
• Maintaina child assessment and portfoliofor each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing,walking,running,and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
• Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
