Job summary

CAPCC is seeking a Kitchen Supervisor to manage daily food preparation for breakfast, lunch, and snacks in a child-centered setting. You will ensure chaperoning, maintain CACFP records, and supervise kitchen staff to follow sanitation and safety standards.

The role requires ServSafe and Pediatric First Aid/CPR certifications, a High School Diploma or GED, and reliable transportation. Candidates should be able to lift and support meal service for events and training sessions.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all children are appropriately chaperoned and never left unattended in all situations such as facility, transportation, playground, or community outing.
• Coordinates daily food preparation using efficient methods in volume food preparation for breakfast, lunch, and snack.
• Maintains records required by CACFP: food usage, menu changes, inventory, daily meal counts, allergies, ordering, etc.
• Oversees other kitchen staff to assure proper cooking and sanitation methods.
• Maintains kitchen equipment and sanitizes facility per state standards.
• Conducts on-site mini training sessions for staff and parents.
• Keeps supervisor informed of daily operations and safety hazards in kitchen.
• Provides substitutions for allergies and special diets.
• Sets tables and assists with meals for meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
