Job summary

Chester County is seeking a County Casework Supervisor to lead a team of caseworkers in child welfare, including abuse/dependency investigations and services to protect children and strengthen families.

In this role you will supervise staff, assign caseloads, monitor progress, prepare court documents, coordinate with attorneys and community partners, and ensure compliance with state laws and county policy while operating within approved budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Social Sciences with two years in human services.
• Optionally 12 social science credits with two years in human services.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a private vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, motivate and train staff through regular conferences and referrals to training.
• Assist with tracking and reviewing client information.
• Assign caseloads and coordinate staff counseling to handle emergencies or crises.
• Produce and monitor reports reflecting case dispositions and statistics.
• Assist staff in analyzing case problems and improving diagnostic skills.
• Monitor and enforce policies and procedures.
• Assist with court documents and participate in hearings.
• Coordinate case prep with legal liaison and attorneys; attend hearings.
• Provide case management in staff absence.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and county policies.
