Job summary

County of Chester is seeking a Child Abuse Investigations Supervisor to lead a team of Casework Specialists in investigating abuse and dependency allegations and coordinating services. The role ensures risk and safety assessments are conducted per policy and that documentation meets CPS law requirements.

The position operates within a System of Care Practice Model, collaborating with community partners and legal, medical, and law enforcement professionals to safeguard children and support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work with four years in human services required.
• Alternative degrees with related credits and four years experience accepted.
• Knowledge of CPS Law and Juvenile Act required.
• Valid driver's license and use of a private vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, motivate and train staff through conferences and referrals.
• Assess imminent threats to child safety and urgency of response.
• Ensure compliance with CPS Law and mandated time frames.
• Coordinate court preparation and attend hearings.
• Produce and monitor case reports reflecting disposition of cases.
