Job summary

Voyager Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Chief Engineer for VTVL systems to lead end-to-end mission success across multidisciplinary teams in an onsite role based in Mojave, CA or Edwards, CA.

The Chief Engineer will own the vehicle's architecture, requirements, margins, and risk while guiding development from concept through qualification and flight. You will be the program's senior technical authority, drive design decisions, coordinate with manufacturing and test, and ensure alignment with

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace engineering or related field.
• Experience leading major components or vehicles for complex spacecraft or safety-critical systems.
• Experience adjudicating engineering trade-offs and leading or participating in Engineering Review Boards.
• Deep understanding of managing system architecture, requirements, and risk.
• Knowledge of translating customer needs into engineering architecture and design.

Responsibilities

• Own vehicle technical architecture, design philosophy, requirements, interfaces, margins and performance allocations.
• Serve as senior technical authority, resolve cross-functional engineering issues and risk.
• Lead vehicle-level design and development from concept through qualification, flight test, and deployment.
• Own vehicle margins and drive corrective action as needed.
