Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Chemical Process Engineer to lead design, development, and scale-up of complex chemical processes at the George facility. You will mentor engineers, drive process innovation, and oversee safety programs to ensure regulatory and environmental standards are met.

The role demands expertise in process modeling, PHAs/HAZOP, and cross-functional leadership to deliver on strategic process enhancements and performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive process engineering experience with leadership.
• Strong knowledge of chemical engineering principles, kinetics, and separations.
• Experience with process safety management (PSM) and HAZOP studies.
• Proficiency in process modeling and simulation software.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and scale-up of complex chemical processes.
• Oversee implementation of new process technologies incl. equipment selection, installation, and commissioning.
• Conduct PHAs and implement safety protocols to mitigate risks.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster technical development.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide technical guidance on troubleshooting and long-term strategies at the George facility.
