Job summary

Compass Group USA in Charlotte, NC is seeking a full-time CHEF to lead kitchen operations in a fast-paced catering environment. Directs cooks and associates, ensures sanitation and food quality, and supports menu development.

Requirements include two years of culinary and catering experience, with a willingness to train. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM–4:00 PM; pay range is $20.00–$25.00 per hour, with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Two years of culinary experience and previous catering experience are required.
• Willing to train applicants accepted.

Responsibilities

• Supervises cooks and kitchen staff, ensuring food preparation and service standards are met.
• Oversees food handling, sanitation, and portion control to maintain quality.
• Manages scheduling, payroll, training, and performance reviews for kitchen personnel.
• Ensures proper presentation, temperature, and adherence to recipes and menus.
• Monitors inventory and orders supplies as needed.
• Supports recipe and menu development in collaboration with culinary team.
