Job summary

Compass Group USA's Canteen is hiring a full-time Chef for the GE Gas Turbines site in Greenville, SC. The role includes kitchen leadership and food preparation with a 6:00 am–3:00 pm schedule, Monday through Friday, and requires prior culinary, leadership, and food safety experience.

You will supervise cooks, ensure sanitation, manage inventory and menus, and contribute to a safe, high-quality operation. The position offers benefits and a meal plan, with an hourly pay range of $18.00 to $23.00.

Qualifications

• Previous culinary experience.
• Leadership and staff supervision experience.
• Knowledge of food safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervises cooks and associates in preparation and service of food.
• Interviews, schedules, payroll, training and reviews for kitchen staff.
• Prepares high-quality items according to recipes and schedules.
• Maintains sanitation, proper temperatures and portion control.
• Manages inventory, waste and procurement.
• Inspects deliveries and maintains equipment cleanliness.
• Assists in recipe and menu development.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
