Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Technical Expert (LL6) to lead the design, development, and in-house process delivery for Suspension Structural Components in Ford Vehicles. You will develop and deliver an in-house design process, executing engineering, manufacturing feasibility, and tooling optimization.

The role requires 10 years of chassis structural design experience, DFMEA/PFMEA, GD&T mastery, and hands-on capability with production tooling and supplier coordination.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering required; extensive chassis structural design experience.
• Experience with suspension structural components (stampings, castings, forgings) and launch.
• Strong GD&T, DFMEA/PFMEA, PPAP knowledge and in-house tooling readiness.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of in-house design and manufacturing processes for suspension structural parts (stampings, castings, forgings).
• Develop and maintain internal engineering foundation documents (design guides, DRs, RQTs, interface contracts).
• Create and manage Level 2 technical materials (Process FMEAs, Control Plans, Safe Launch Plans, Sub-component BOMs).
• Lead DFM and DFA feasibility reviews before tool kickoff and ensure compatibility with tooling and process capabilities.
