Job summary

Norman Regional is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Women’s and Children’s Team on a fast-paced postpartum unit. The RN will perform assessments, plan and coordinate care for postpartum mothers and newborns, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma/ADN (BSN/MSN preferred) and have ACLS/BLS. The role includes leadership responsibilities, day shift 7a–7p, and opportunities for advancement within NRHS.

Qualifications

• Assess and reassess patient care needs across age groups.
• Provide nursing care guided by evidence-based practice and policy.

Responsibilities

• Assessments and reassessments of patient needs.
• Nursing diagnosis and expected outcomes.
• Coordination of care and interventions.
• Evaluate patient outcomes using critical thinking.
• Professional practice and leadership within the department.
• Cover leadership in absence of Nurse Manager.
• Maintain ACLS certification.
• Oversee bedside handoff at shift changes.
