No Ka Oi Inc is seeking a highly skilled Lead Cook for our catering kitchen. This fast-paced environment rewards consistency, efficiency, and strong culinary fundamentals.

You will lead by example and ensure top-quality food for events and delivery menus. Ideal candidates bring deep food knowledge, mastery of multiple techniques, and the ability to work early mornings and weekends (Wednesday–Sunday 6:00 AM–2:00 PM).

Qualifications

• Strong professional cooking experience in catering or high-volume kitchens.
• Solid understanding of multiple cooking techniques and cuisines.
• Deep knowledge of ingredients, flavor balance, and proper preparation methods.

Responsibilities

• Execute high-volume production while maintaining quality and consistency
• Lead daily prep and production for catered events and delivery menus
• Apply a wide range of cooking techniques including roasting, braising, sautéing, grilling, baking, and sauce work
• Maintain organized prep lists and ensure production stays on schedule
• Uphold food safety, sanitation, and kitchen standards
• Work closely with the culinary team to ensure smooth event execution
• Maintain a clean, efficient, and professional kitchen environment
