Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience in a high-volume institutional environment preferred.
• Good knife skills and knowledge of food preparation.
• Able to work all areas of the kitchen.
• Stand in kitchen environment for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals in a large volume establishment.
• Sauté, grill, fry, and cook ingredients according to food safety guidelines.
• Chop, slice, and wash fruits and vegetables.
• Make salads, desserts, and complete meals.
• May create menus and follow recipes.
• Assist with catering orders and prepare trays for customers.
• Clean the kitchen area, take out trash, mop floors and wipe down the dining area when needed.
• Prepare and portion ingredients for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and catered events.
• Cook a variety of hot and cold food items according to recipes and food safety standards.
