Job summary

AXA XL is seeking a lead actuary to manage the North America Reinsurance Pricing & Analytics team. You will price and analyze Casualty business written in the US and Canada, leading a team of four actuaries and coordinating with underwriting and executive management across geographies.

You will develop and maintain core US Casualty pricing models used globally, support profitability reviews, and help set targets while driving continuous improvement in pricing processes and analytics.

Qualifications

• Qualified actuary with FCAS or extensive experience.
• Pricing experience within the P&C reinsurance industry; reserving for reinsurance companies or pricing for commercial carriers considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide pricing support to underwriting teams; perform analyses and peer review.
• Develop pricing methodologies aligned to global strategies and standards.
• Support calibration of pricing tools and maintain pricing governance.
• Monitor industry benchmarks and loss development factors; update pricing parameters.
• Train underwriters in pricing matters and ensure governance across geographies.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Risk Management and Capital Modeling teams on risk distributions.
