Job summary

Ulta Beauty, Inc. is seeking a Lead Cashier to drive guest experiences at the cashwrap, train new cashiers, and support loyalty-driven sales. This role emphasizes preventing losses, maintaining store standards, and leading by example in a fast-paced beauty retailer environment.

The Lead Cashier will work with store leadership to ensure seamless checkout operations, expert product recommendations, and exceptional service while promoting Ulta Beauty’s loyalty program and credit options to guests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is preferred.
• 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred.
• Proven ability to delegate, multi‑task, and problem‑solve.
• Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and a competency for selling.
• Experience addressing guests concerns and questions promptly and professionally to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Demonstrated experience in exceeding sales goals and training new hires.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, omni‑channel, guest loyalty and retail shrink.
• Ensure each guest receives exceptional service by greeting, engaging, and personalizing service.
• Courteously handle sales, refunds, and exchanges.
• Pair guests with a makeup artist or associate for services and demonstrations to drive sales.
• Book appointments for and support services and in-store events that deliver an unrivaled guest experience while delivering on sales goals.
• Maintain replenishment, organization, and maintenance of all cashwrap displays and impulse fixtures.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
• Contribute to an inclusive environment and support teammates and guests.
• Assist in training of new cashiers and cross-training of associates in cashiering.
• Drive cashier accountability and deliver an exceptional Ulta Beauty brand experience.
• Participate in ongoing training and collaborate with store teams to grow the business.
