Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking a Lead Cashier to ensure efficient guest transactions and uphold cashwrap standards while assisting in training new cashiers. The role emphasizes driving loyalty through exceptional guest service, managing returns, and coordinating cashiering processes to support store performance.

The Lead Cashier leads by example, overseeing open/close register duties, maintaining displays, and collaborating with the team to deliver an outstanding guest experience and sales results.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred
• Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve
• Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and a competency for selling
• Experience addressing guests concerns and questions promptly and professionally to deliver exceptional customer service
• Demonstrated experience in exceeding sales goals and training new hires

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, omni‑channel, loyalty, and shrink as set by Ulta Beauty.
• Ensure each guest receives exceptional service and a guest‑friendly environment, including greeting and engaging guests and personalizing service.
• Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges with courtesy.
• Coordinate makeup applications, skin care analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales.
• Book appointments for services and in‑store events to deliver a premier guest experience.
