Job summary

Ulta Beauty, Inc. is seeking a Lead Cashier in a fast‑paced retail setting to ensure efficient guest transactions and maintain pristine cashwrap standards.

The role trains new cashiers, cross‑trains peers, and leads in delivering an exceptional guest experience while driving loyalty and sales. Responsibilities include managing open/close register functions, assisting with product demonstrations, and maintaining store standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred.
• Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve.
• Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and a competency for selling.
• Experience addressing guests concerns and questions promptly and professionally to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Demonstrated experience in exceeding sales goals and training new hires.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, omni‑channel, guest loyalty, and retail shrink as set by Ulta Beauty for the store.
• Ensure each guest receives exceptional service by greeting and engaging, personalizing service to their needs, and recommending Ulta Beauty products and/or services.
• Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges with courtesy.
• Pair guests with an associate for makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and guest experience.
• Book appointments for services and in-store events that deliver an unrivaled guest experience while achieving sales goals.
• Maintain cashwrap displays, supplies, and impulse fixtures for guest-readiness.
• Be knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty policies and dress code.
