Job summary

The Lead Cashier (LC) at Ulta Beauty is responsible for the efficiency of guest transactions and maintaining cashwrap standards, including cleanliness and overall aesthetics. The LC assists in training new cashiers and cross-training other associates, demonstrating the ability to proactively collaborate, lead, and influence peers.

This position drives loyalty results through credit and guest experience, focusing on people, performance, and process while supporting open/close register functions

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred.
• Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve.
• Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and a competency for selling.
• Experience addressing guests concerns and questions promptly and professionally to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Demonstrated experience in exceeding sales goals and training new hires.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty, and retail shrink.
• Ensure each guest receives exceptional service and a guest-friendly environment, including greeting and engaging each guest and recommending Ulta Beauty products/services.
• Courteously handle sales, refunds, and exchanges.
• Pair guests with an associate to perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and guest experience.
• Book appointments for and support services and in-store events delivering an unrivaled guest experience while meeting sales goals.
• Maintain replenishment, organization, and maintenance of all cashwrap displays and impulse fixtures to ensure guest-readiness.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
