Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Head Cashier to supervise a fast-paced cashier team and support daily operations while delivering excellent customer service. You will help at the registers, train new Cashiers, and ensure proper breaks and compliant scheduling.

Ideal candidates are at least 18 with a HS diploma or GED, 1–2 years cashiering and leadership training, and a friendly, reliable attitude. The role is on-site with flexible scheduling and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age; possess a high school diploma or GED, and 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience supplemented with leadership training.
• Be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly behavior with the ability to interact with customers as a role model.
• Operate front end equipment: register, calculator, scanner.
• Good communication skills; able to take direction and work in a team.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and stay organized.
• Must lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and move carts as described.
• Proficiency with numbers, cash handling and basic math.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of cashiers and assist with operational issues.
• Provide direction and support to Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks at registers.
• Assist with customer assistance issues at the register.
• Schedule and oversee meal and rest breaks per policy and state requirements.
• Assist in hiring and training new Cashiers and address disciplinary actions.
• Maintain security and loss prevention by monitoring exits and doors.
