Job summary

Ulta Beauty, Inc. is seeking a Lead Cashier to enhance guest experiences and drive loyalty results at our store.

You will lead cashwrap operations, train new cashiers, and collaborate with the team to deliver top service and sales while managing merchandise presentation and store standards. The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and roughly 2 years of relevant experience, with strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve.
• Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and a competency for selling.
• Experience addressing guests concerns and questions promptly and professionally to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Demonstrated experience in exceeding sales goals and training new hires.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, loyalty and shrink.
• Provide exceptional guest service by greeting, engaging, personalizing service and recommending Ulta Beauty products/services.
• Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously.
• Pair guests with an associate for makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales.
• Book appointments for services and support in-store events to deliver a top guest experience while meeting sales goals.
• Maintain cashwrap displays, supplies, and impulse fixtures for guest-readiness.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
• Foster an inclusive environment and collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business.
• Assist in cashier chat-ins/outs and associate inspections as needed.
• Stay informed on trends, products, and services to better serve guests.
• Promote the benefits of the guest loyalty program and Ulta Beauty app.
• Train new cashiers and cross-train other associates.
• Lead peers to peak productivity and accountability.
• Participate in ongoing training and brand education.
