Job summary

The Lead Cashier at Ulta Beauty in Santa Maria supports guest transactions, upholds cashwrap standards, and trains new cashiers to deliver an exceptional guest experience and promote Loyalty Life Cycle benefits. You will drive sales, assist with makeup applications, and ensure brand standards across the store.

You’ll manage open/close register procedures, maintain displays, monitor inventory, and work with leadership to meet goals while modeling teamwork, accountability, and a customer-first

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred.
• Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve.
• Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and a competency for selling.
• Experience addressing guests concerns and questions promptly and professionally to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Demonstrated experience in exceeding sales goals and training new hires.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty, and shrink.
• Ensure each guest receives exceptional service by greeting, engaging, personalizing service, and recommending products.
• Courteously handle sales, refunds, and exchanges.
• Pair guests with an associate for makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations.
• Book appointments for services and in-store events to deliver an unrivaled guest experience while meeting sales goals.
• Manage replenishment, organization, and maintenance of cashwrap displays and impulse fixtures.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
