Job summary

Ulta Beauty in California is seeking a Lead Cashier to ensure efficient guest transactions and uphold cashwrap standards. This role trains new cashiers and supports the loyalty program, driving guest satisfaction and sales.

You will partner with store leadership to manage open/close registers, assist guests with makeup demonstrations, and maintain store cleanliness. Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• Proven ability to delegate, multi‑task, and problem‑solve.
• Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and a competency for selling.
• Experience addressing guests concerns and questions promptly and professionally to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Demonstrated experience in exceeding sales goals and training new hires.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty (including credit), and retail shrink.
• Provide exceptional guest service by greeting and engaging each guest, personalizing service to their needs, and recommending Ulta Beauty products and/or services.
• Courteously handle sales, refunds, and exchanges.
• Pair guests with a trained associate for makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales.
• Book appointments for and support services and in-store events to deliver an unrivaled guest experience while meeting sales goals.
• Replenish and maintain cashwrap displays, supplies, and impulse fixtures for guest-readiness.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
