Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Less than 1 year experience using a computer for inputting or retrieving information.
• Less than 1 year experience using common retail technology (phones, tablets).
• 1 year retail cashier experience.
• Ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service per Lowe’s policies.
• Assists customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
• Responds to customer and employee questions and guides them through store areas and projects.
• Communicates stock, special orders, warranties and program details to customers.
• Trains and coaches associates on department duties and sales opportunities.
• Processes sales transactions, returns, and refunds at the register.
• Verifies product information and assists with loading and unloading.
• Ensures store area and registers are prepared at shift start and end.
• Maintains store cleanliness and safety in assigned areas.
